Beban Park Community Garden Proposal

The VIEx and the City of Nanaimo held a successful meeting regarding the Community Garden proposal was held on Saturday, March 20, 2010. There is still availability to have a garden plot. Please contact the VIEx office directly if you or someone you know is interested!

Workshops on Raising Poultry in Your Backyard

The Vancouver Island Exhibition and The Nanaimo Poultry Collective are     co-facilitating workshops to assist people in setting up, raising and care of Chickens in Your Backyard. The City of Nanaimo amended the by-law in February 2010 to allow backyard chickens. More information is attached.
